The Jind State Service Stamp of 10 Rupees was issued by the princely state of Jind (in present, day Haryana) for official government correspondence, not for public postal use. These Service stamps were meant exclusively for state departments such as the ruler’s office, courts, revenue administration, and military or diplomatic communications. They were typically British India high, value stamps overprinted with “JIND STATE” and “SERVICE”, following the postal convention system under British supervision. The 10 Rupees denomination represents a high, value issue, intended for bulk official mail or accounting purposes rather than ordinary letters. These stamps were in use mainly during the early to mid,20th century (circa 1930s–1940s) and became obsolete after 1948, when Jind acceded to the Indian Union and its postal system was absorbed into Indian Post
